This is my own personal mantra for many reasons.  I could reach into my fitness  and yoga background, tell you about the physiological reasons why breath is so vital to feeling supported.  Which it is! I’m guessing you’ve heard  that  and you are still not breathing!  LOL

So try this – usually when individuals are not experiencing support, they are also not really in their body.  What I mean is, living in you head… always making “decisions”, or involved in tasks.  In doing this, formal attention to inhaling and exhaling is lost; typically breath is shallow in the upper part of the chest. This may leave a tightness in the shoulder area, neck, lower back;  Consider asking yourself a question of sensation/connection:  “where am I feeling tension?”   This can be a distraction and uncomfortable.  What is a simple distraction solution?  Eat sugar, drink coffee, take a pain killer?  All are possible solutions, from my perspective, none of them will give you a stronger sense of feeling connected or supported.

Which brings me to “get into your body” by consciously using your breath!  Taking several deep breaths with you mind participating in literally bringing the air deep into your abdominal area…Magic!   If you add stretching arms, openings shoulders, this changes the experience again… maybe a little shake to the right and shake to the left?  Sounds silly;  actually, just moving a bit of energy throughout your body will change how you feel.  So, why not give it a try?  What do you have to lose……
