Sanctuary, our Heart’s Gold Coin …… because it is in the quiet moments that we truly can listen to the inner wisdom that is being spoken. A card, is simply the vehicle for bringing to the surface what you most need to hear at this moment in time.
Sanctuary…. it’s such an interesting concept, and when I pulled this card today, I thought, why not share one of the tools
I offer my clients. So, here it is! (I’m thrilled I figured out how to upload the photo…next will be to align it more effectively)
When you look at this image, what comes to mind for you? Do you feel: “Wow, I really need to do more of that?” or “I don’t have time for this!” of “What the heck does this mean?” I admit, the first time I started pulling cards, as I call it, was 20 years ago…. this was one of my first decks: Soul Coaching. At first I was surprised at the images I would pick as it related to how I was feeling that morning. There seemed to be an uncanny alignment, and the meaning of each card I drew, definitely opened my heart to either a new perspective, or simply alerted my body/soul to an inner nudge that I was either in need of hearing, or needed reinforcement. So, this amazing journey with opening to my intention began, and like a stream that never ends, I continue to practice this for myself and my clients. This tool is about tapping into your inner wisdom, your intuition in a way that is simple and effective.
How do I know it’s effective? When I participate at corporate Health Fairs, this deck sits on my table as one of my “Mindfulness” tools. The conversation typically follows something like: “Are these Tarot Cards?” No, I respond, Soul Coaching to tap into your intuition. Would you like to pick one?” To which they respond: “Sure!” With a big smile on their face. They pick a card, and smile, or say “how did you know?” ….. which of course I don’t “know”… they know!
This leads to a short dialogue about trusting your intuition, your heart…… and I will offer one way to use the information to support their well being. If this were the card they picked, I would ask: “Do you take a few minutes each day to simply breathe, stretch, or unwind? What do you do?” The average response is “I don’t have time” or “Yes, and it really helps me calm down, and gain clarity.” Both of these responses, is allowing the individual to experience their own inner wisdom, in an unexpected moment.
So, how do I use this tool for clients? My sessions typically are over the phone, and I will choose one card from whichever deck I’m drawn to at that moment. I tap into my energy field before we begin the session, follow my guidance, chose a card and leave it face down! This is very important part of the process. At some point during our session, or right before we end, I turn the card over, and share with them. It is up so them to connect the dots…and we discuss how valuable last piece is as we create a “plan of action”. They will receive a picture to have with them, as a reminder of the information and as an additional support tool.
Sanctuary, our Heart’s Gold Coin …… because it is in the quiet moments that we truly can listen to the inner wisdom that is being spoken. A card, is simply the vehicle for bringing to the surface what you most need to hear at this moment in time. I close this exactly as I began it. Remember to find quietude for yourself each day, if only for 2 minutes. Your mind, body and soul with thank over and over…
